TIME for a CHANGE – TIME for ANT!HERO

Millions of ants in an anthill – and all are the same? Wrong! ANTiHERO is here with lots of clever ideas for a better life, a better life for ALL ants. But it‘s hard to start a revolution and even harder when you (think you) are alone, because on the hill it’s not very popular to step out of line – you know what I mean: The queen and a few bullies who think they're better. And super cool innovative ideas – sometimes a little bit over the top – are not always helpful to convince your fellow ants and colleagues to join in. But in the ant (yes!) it is the effort that counts, isn’t it?! Whatever: ANTOCRACY NOW!!


Producer’s statement

Democracy is under pressure. Values we once took for granted are crumbling. Perhaps it is time to go back to the beginning and explain everything all over again – because we have all forgotten what we have already achieved together. The goal is a show that brings together young and old and makes them laugh – perhaps for different reasons. And to plant a seed against all the resurgent kings and queens and recall in our hearts and minds: The price of democracy is eternal vigilance and cooperation – cause we are only strong together! With its fun stories but subversive humour under the surface ANTiHERO is bound to become a favourite series for the whole family.
